Light and Glory MA Candidate
About Amanda Osborn
Amanda is pursuing a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy through Cal Baptist University. She received her bachelor's in communication from San Diego State University.
Amanda has six years of experience in marketing, and will be making the transition to counseling and therapy next year. She has worked with a variety of clients in this time, and has used a wide range of goals and tactics to help them reach their goals. She hopes to have the opportunity to use the skills she has learned in marketing, and transfer them to the mental health field. She is nearing the end of her master's program, and is on track to graduate May 2026.
Amanda wants to create a space that is safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental, where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She wants the opportunity to help first responders and veterans, with the hopes of breaking the stigma about mental health. She plans to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person focused therapy into her treatment plans, including trauma therapy as needed as well.
In her free time, Amanda can be found reading, training for her first half marathon, or spending time with her French Bulldog!
