About Jessica Tate
Jessica Tate, MA, LMFT is a bilingual licensed marriage and family therapist, EMDR-certified clinician, and EMDRIA approved consultant with over 14 years of experience in the mental health field. She is a co-founder of Light and Gloryand Thoughtful Counseling Group, where she also serves as a clinical supervisor and mentor to emerging therapists. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Jessica has dedicated her career to supporting diverse populations, including military families, first responders, and survivors of trauma.
She holds a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University of Hawaii and has worked across multiple clinical settings, providing mental health services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, trafficking, sexual abuse, physical and emotional trauma. Jessica is especially passionate about working with survivors of domestic violence, a commitment that aligns deeply with her role as founder of the Light and Glory Foundation, a nonprofit focused on advocacy, healing, and restoration for those impacted by abuse and trauma.
Jessica’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and trauma-informed. She believes each individual has the capacity for healing and personal growth through strengths-based, holistic support. She integrates evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Bowen Intergenerational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Neurofeedback, Biofeedback, Mindfulness, and Ketamine Assisted Therapy.
Jessica works with adolescents, adults, couples, and veterans navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief, life transitions, and relational challenges. She is the founder of Thoughtful Counseling Group, a Washington State-approved supervisor, and an AAMFT Clinical Fellow, deeply committed to supporting individuals on their path to resilience and transformation.
