Light and Glory MA Candidate

About Sara Poblano

Hi Michelle, I wrote a bio for the website, which I've pasted below. I am happy to make any edits as you see fit. Sarah is an M.S. candidate in Counseling Psychology at California Baptist University seeking licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She received her bachelor’s in sociology from Loyola Marymount University. With a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, Sarah carries five years of experience supporting vulnerable youth and adult client populations in the legal setting and looks forward to applying these skills to mental health care.

With Sarah, you can expect empathy, curiosity, and a genuine determination to find the approach that works best for you. She draws from evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Bowen Intergenerational Therapy, Gottman Couple’s Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and aims to personalize treatment approaches to fit your unique needs and goals.

Sarah aims to create a safe space in session where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. She believes healing and growth happen best in a space that is nonjudgmental and empowering, and is committed to walking alongside you as you work toward strengthening your relationships, building resilience, and uncovering new perspectives that help you move forward with hope and confidence.
